As much fun as a trampoline can be, they can also be dangerous. In particular, larger trampolines can be quite dangerous. When I was a kid one of my friends broke his arm when he fell off the trampoline and really a much worse injury could occur. You have to be careful when doing a trampoline workout.

I’ve written some articles about good low impact cardio exercises such as using an elliptical machine or a stationary bike. A trampoline workout is definitely not a low impact workout! It can be quite hard on the joints. It’s really best suited to those who are already in decent shape who want to get a good workout.

If you are more than 30 or 40 pounds overweight then you probably should choose another option. A trampoline workout is not a good choice for those of you who are considerably overweight. Instead choose a low impact exercise machine such as an elliptical machine, a ski machine, or a stationary bike.

Trampoline Exercise

Many health professionals are concerned that adults and children alike are not getting enough exercise. This is a real problem – lack of exercise can lead to serious health problems. Trampolines can provide a good start for those looking for a healthier lifestyle.

Trampoline ExerciseStudies have shown that the trend towards having less activity in our days has become particularly pronounced for children. This is viewed as being a particularly worrying issue. With childhood obesity levels rising, we can see signs of the way in which many of our children are living.

Some people move to dismiss such problems as simply being puppy fat – they assure us that children will develop better habits as the grow older. Unfortunately, evidence suggests that this is unlikely to be the case.

A lack of exercise when our kids are young is likely to lead to serious health problems in later life. It’s also the case that habits developed at a young age are likely to continue into adulthood. In other words, if your child is lacking in exercise now then things aren’t likely to get much better as they grow older.

Since we all care about the welfare of our children, such thoughts are naturally worrying. Fortunately, all is far from being lost.

If your children prefer watching television and playing video games to taking exercise then you may need to put in a bit of work to improve the situation, but it’s certainly possible. You can begin by showing them just how much fun can be found by taking part in more active exercises.

It will certainly help if you join in and lead the way. Ideally, you’ll want to find activities that offer good exercise opportunites, while also being great fun. You don’t want exercise to seem like a chore.

Trampolines are an excellent solution to these problems. Many kids love using trampolines and it’s something that you can do as a family. Equally importantly, they are great for exercising.

There’s a wide range of trampolines available and many will fit into your garden. That means that it’s something that can be done at home, in a safe environment.
